In order to offer a truly turn key robotic palletizing system, the end of arm tooling is a key component that can’t be overlooked. Recognizing this Jantz Canada’s research and development team has been hard at work developing its robotic bag gripper tool.
Fully adjustable the tool is designed to pick up hard to handle product such as bagged onions and potatoes and has an optional integral tamper mechanism to settle the bags in place during the palletizing process. Having this technology in house makes sense according to Jantz President Robert Peto. “It will allow us to adapt to particular customers needs and mate our tooling with any system. All of our tooling is designed with adaptability in mind”
Testing of the bag gripping tool is underway at the Jantz facility and according to Peto will be available for sale by the beginning of April 2011.
