Upgrading equipment and modification of a mezzanine floor in a facility is always a challenging task. Mondelez International Inc. has been one of our successful customers for a long time. They contacted Jantz Canada to suggest a turn-key solution for the mezzanine modification to accommodate a new scale and as well as installing new equipment at their peek freans plant.
JANTZ CANADA SOLUTION
Our team started removing all the equipment from the line, and right after that, the mezzanine floor was modified to accommodate the new scale and to relocate the spiral chute. Then we began the installation of new equipment with the supervision of our Jantz millwrights.
The result was a modified mezzanine floor with all new equipment installed which increased the facility space along with high productivity. Timelines and windows of opportunity present one of the biggest challenges in a project like this. We must be ready for every opportunity that arises and seize it when it occurs because Peek Freans operates 24hr a day, typically stopping only for cleaning. In this kind of facility, the environment is never static.
